Diversity Solutions Inc is an innovative, results oriented firm, focusing on leadership in diversity management and equity based organizational reform. Based out of Toronto, Canada, DSI features powerful diversity and anti-oppression workshops, consulting services, executive coaching and comprehensive business solutions. Utilizing a "Holistic" approach to organizational change and diversity management, we recognize that truly excellent organizations must engage diversity and equity in every system and process if they are to remain competitive and productive in today's global contexts and in the years to come. We will help you develop a culture of success through the implementation of management solutions that are relevant, practical and applicable to both your short-term and long-term needs.
DSI takes the approach that diversity reforms in the workplace must be seen as more than a social justice imperative, but as a business imperative as well. In fact, we believe that those organizations that view diversity as a compliance issue alone will find themselves ill-equipped to respond to the demands of today’s shifting social and market relations. Importantly, the great majority of organizations cannot manage these types of reforms internally because existing personnel rarely have the skills, knowledge and experience required to spearhead such efforts. Realizing this, DSI helps our clients to develop the tools they need to become an inclusive organization that is supportive, productive and competitive. We help our clients build a customized program based on an in-depth analysis of their specific issues and dynamics. All in all, we offer a very measured approach to the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care of our clients' organizational Equity Needs.
Our Founder and Executive Director
Working with organizations towards the development of a meaningful, business-relevant, and equitable diversity plan is what DSI's founder Dr. Leeno Karumanchery envisioned when he first decided to build the company. His goal was to create a model for cooperative reform that would allow him to help dedicated organizational leaders, staff and stakeholders apply their experience and knowledge towards the creation of healthier more productive workplaces and communities. Leeno's commitment to DSI's values and mission are clearly evidenced in his work as a speaker, author and consultant, his work in the community and in his daily life as an advocate for anti-oppressive reform.
Widely published in the field of equity based reform and diversity management theory, Leeno is co-author of Removing the Margins: The Challenges and Possibilities of Inclusive Schooling (Canadian Scholars Press, 2000) and Playing the Race Card (Peter Lang, 2004), both critically acclaimed texts in the field of anti-oppression theory and practice. He is also Editor of the critical reader, Engaging Equity: New Perspectives on Anti-Racist Education (Detselig Enterprises, 2005).
